How did you find the Girls Who Hike organization?: Instagram hiking community-- followed Sharron.
What made you want to become a Girls Who Hike Ambassador?: I love the outdoors and finding trails. Also, I have experience meeting up with people to hike from online.
How did you get into hiking?: I lived by woods when I was younger and would often explore. But, I guess my real passion ignited while out in California, with the beautiful weather, it just seemed natural.
What's your favorite thing about spending time in the outdoors?: It's different every time. Sometimes the solitude, sometimes the scenery, sometimes the challenge. Each time it is always a feeling of accomplishment and a nature high though.
List three things you can't go hiking without: Besides the essentials..... my GoPro, liquid blister bandaid (I will usually put it on before the hike as preventative! ha), & a Pink Lady apple as on of my snacks
What do you love the most about being a Girls Who Hike Ambassador?: Sharing my passion for the outdoors. People see my pictures and I've gotten lots of messages or comments about wanting to join-- so it's great to have more of a platform to invite them.
What advice would you give ladies who are new to hiking?: Give it more than one hike. Foam roll. And while the world is full of amazing scenic spots to hike, you'd be surprised what you can explore right in your very own "backyard.
