Meet our #GWHAmbassadors: Arcadia Ratcliff

Name: Arcadia Ratcliff

Hometown/Current Home: Livermore, CA/ McKinleyville, CA

What chapter are you an Ambassador for?: NorCal

How long have you been apart of Girls Who Hike for?: About 9 months

How did you find the Girls Who Hike organization?: Through Instagram, the LA account got suggested to me, and looked into it more from there.

What made you want to become a Girls Who Hike Ambassador?: The ability to lead women out into nature and show them they are capable of anything they choose to do.

How did you get into hiking?: As stress release after starting college.

What's your favorite thing about spending time in the outdoors?: Our planet was my first love, and being surrounded by trees, the ocean, rivers, or any part of nature just makes me happy.

List three things you can't go hiking without: Water, comfy shoes, and my Millennium Falcon good luck charm that I found in the forest a few years ago.

What do you love the most about being a Girls Who Hike Ambassador?: The ability to connect to other adventurous ladies and be part of a community of empowerment and strength.

What advice would you give ladies who are new to hiking?: Turn off , or put your  phone on airplane mode. Enjoy it for the moment, the beauty, the escape. Hiking is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen your body and your spiritual self, don't let the outside world in.
