EVENTBRITE WILL GO LIVE SUNDAY JUNE 24, 2018 at 8 PM. As always, the password for this event is GWHLA.

We will meet at the trailhead sign by the small dirt parking lot at 7:45 and begin our hike promptly at 8 AM. Please arrive early to allow yourself plenty of time for parking/stretching/using the facilities.

**PLEASE NOTE – An Adventure Pass is required for parking!! If the small dirt parking lot at the trailhead is full, you can also park across the street at the Big Pines Visitor Center where restrooms are located. Carpooling is also encouraged!**

GWH Trail Rating - This a YELLOW hike - Moderate hike, elevation gain of between 1,000-2,000ft. (Max elevation is 8000 ft. so there is some elevation involved, and lots of switchbacks over a short distance.) We will keep a moderate pace of around 2 mph and try our best to stay together as a group.

**As with all GWH events, you MUST have a signed Liability Waiver on file prior to attending. It takes 60 seconds to complete and one waiver clears you for all meetups!**

What To Bring: Please bring plenty of water - We ask that you carry 2L of water minimum, plus sunscreen even though this is a partially shaded trail, and enough snacks to keep yourself energized for the duration of the hike. We will stop for lunch/photos at Blue Ridge Campground where the trail meets up with the PCT, plus take a few breaks along the way so that we can stay together as a group. Trekking poles are encouraged but not required.

Any updates will be posted on the event thread via the pinned post, and I’ll update the event description if anything changes! Can’t wait to see you all there! - Erin
