Hello Ladies - I am excited to lead a May official meet-up of the GWHAZ Chapter! We are going to Picacho Peak! For those of you that have driven down/up I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix - you can't miss Picacho Peak! This hike is short but an adventure. There are spots where you will need to use your upper body to pull yourself up via cables. GLOVES ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Due to this, I recommend no kids or dogs. If you have a heights issue - this may not be the hike for you. I NEED EVERYONE TO FEEL COMFORTABLE ABOUT KNOWING THEIR LIMITS. We will pause at the Saddle to determine who is ready to take on the back half up to the Peak or to stay at the Saddle or head back down.

Meeting Location: Hunter Trail Trailhead at Picacho Peak State Park
Take I-10 southbound from Phoenix. Follow signs for Picacho Peak State Park. Enter Park - there is a $7.00 entry fee. Follow road and take a left on Barrett Loop. There is parking at the trail head or park at the beginning of the loop (restrooms are there) and walk up to trailhead.

*****In order to attend an official meetup, you MUST have a signed Liability Waiver on file. Please see the Group Rules for details/link to sign. One waiver clears you for all meetups!
