Looking forward to a Girls Who Hike adventure to one of Georgia's most remarkable waterfalls? Our Group will begin our adventure meeting at 10:30am to day hike this 4.9 miles (round trip) moderately rated trail. This is considered a dog-friendly trail. It also will be a family friendly day hike event. The hike should take around 3 hours, depending on our pacing and stopping to enjoy the falls and scenic trails. More trail info can be found:https://www.atlantatrails.com/hiking-trails/hiking-to-raven-cliff-falls/

In regards to pacing: Our Girls Who Hike group have many differently paced hikers that come to our meet ups. Our meet ups are a no judgement zone and we are here to encourage as well as motivate each other along the trails. We stay together as a group.

Following the day hike, our overnight girls will be able to grab their packs and gear from their cars and we will make our way to find our campsite along the trail. This is a first come first claimed trail. Open to any GWH member (no children or men overnight please). Attached is a link of items to expect to bring and if you have any questions feel free to just ask!https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ultralight-backpacking-checklist.html or https://www.theadventurejunkies.com/hiking-packing-list/
*All overnighters responsible for their own food*

Black bears frequent this wilderness area. Keep all food items and fragrant cosmetics out of reach in a bear canister: many years ago, we lost our camp stove, food and cookware to a trio of bears in a traditionally-hung bear bag along this trail.

Preparing for hike: make sure to eat breakfast and hydrate, wear comfortable layers (as you hike you will warm up), supportive tennis shoes or hiking boots with good tread, trekking poles as needed, rain gear, at least a liter or more of water, hiking snack, first aid supplies as needed, sunglasses, hat, camera, and most importantly a positive attitude. Any other questions or concerns feel free to ask in comments below!

ALL participating hike attendees MUST sign the liability waiver found below. You only need to sign once to be cleared for our GWH meet ups

***In order to attend an official meetup, you MUST have a signed Liability Waiver on file. Please see the Group Rules for details/link to sign. It takes 60 seconds to complete and one waiver clears you for all meetups!***
