Come tackle the Chumash wilderness in Los Padres national Forest with us as we celebrate this beautiful earth and discuss how we can continue to honor/protect it with leave no trace principles. This trail is a great one if you're practicing hiking in higher elevation, but it can be done by all levels! We will be bagging two peaks!

Distance: 7.4 miles out and back

Peak elevation: 8848 ft

Elevation change: 1500ft

Hiking time: ~5-6 hrs

Meeting time: 645am. We will be leaving at 7am SHARP. Please don't be late as courtesy for the ladies that are coming from further away.

Parking: Mount Pinos Nordic Area

Directions: From I-5 in Frazier Park, exit on Frazier Mountain Park Road and travel east for 7.3 miles. Continue onto Cuddy Valley Road, and keep left to remain on Cuddy Valley Road. Follow the now winding road uphill for another 8.5 miles until it dead ends at a large parking lot for the Mt. Pinos Nordic Area.

****All attendees are REQUIRED to bring their own copy of the trail map (paper or downloaded to phone) and 3-4L of water (water check will be conducted). It is also recommended that everyone brings the 10 hiking essentials (https://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ten-essentials.html).

***In order to attend an official meetup, you MUST have a signed Liability Waiver on file. It takes 60 seconds to complete and one waiver clears you for all meetups! (http://bit.ly/GWHLiabilityWaiver)***
